Kennesaw's Historic Core and Town Center Corridor

Kennesaw's downtown includes the Big Shanty Village Historic District, a recognized historic area tied to the city's original name and early rail-era development, along with the Historic Kennesaw Depot, now home to the city's museum (kennesaw-ga.gov). These sites anchor the small downtown grid near the original railroad line.
Just outside downtown is Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, a National Park Service unit preserving Civil War battlefield land (nps.gov). It's a major green space and landmark for the western side of the city, distinct from the commercial development elsewhere in Kennesaw.
On the other side of the city, the Barrett Parkway and Town Center area functions as a large retail and commercial corridor managed in part by the Town Center Community Improvement District (towncentercid.com), reflecting newer growth compared to the historic downtown blocks.
Because Kennesaw spans a compact historic downtown, a National Park Service battlefield boundary, and a large commercial corridor near the interstate, homes and their kitchens differ significantly depending on which part of the city they're in — another reason a cabinet estimate should be based on an actual site look rather than a generic city-wide assumption.
None of these landmarks — the depot museum, the battlefield park, or the Town Center corridor — are evidence of what any individual kitchen looks like inside; they're simply useful reference points for describing where in Kennesaw a home sits when scheduling a visit or comparing service areas. Whether a project is near the historic depot, closer to the battlefield park boundary, or out toward Town Center, the same core prep-and-primer approach applies, with the specific primer and technique adjusted to the cabinet material found on-site.
